1. About the Department -

Inception of the Zoology Department took place in the year 2018, initially with U.G classes inducted. Slowly and steadily the department flourished on path of success throughout these years. The department offers U.G courses i.e. B.Sc. Course (3 years / six semesters) with subject combination of Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Admission process to these courses starts after declaration of 12th standard results. The Department of Zoology has been holding various workshops, guest lectures, Seminars  to provide a platform for scientific insights and update latest frontier of research to students. The Department of zoology aims at providing students good infrastructure with basic and applied aspects of animal science enhancing theirs employment potential and to start research. To further strengthen teaching and research  laboratories with state of art teaching learning facility is available. The Department has dedicated teaching faculty.

1. To make learning zoology interesting.
2. To generate skills for performing experiment.
3. To improve physical aptitude among the students
4. To motivate the students to continue their study in zoology after graduation.
5. To discuss new inventions in zoology.
6. To organize educational tours for students.
7. To encourage and coach weaker student.
8. To enable students for competitive examinations.
9. To inspire students to undertake projects
10. To provide a strong foundation of in the concept of animal structure , function and behavior.
11. To provide the practical skills and knowledge of applied aspects of zoology which can do for self employment aportunity in Aqua culture, Apiculture, Vermiculture and Sericulture.

•  Internet facilities for staff and students : yes. Internet facility for only staff, with dongle. Free of cost internet facility is available for students.
•  Classroom with ICT facility : yes, well furnished classroom with ICT facility.
•  Laboratories : we are having well furnished and well equipped laboratotary for UG courses.
